Michalis Hatzigiannis returns


After a long break, the superstar of Greek music is coming for a concert at the Ancient Theater

Thanks to numerous hits and platinum albums, Michalis Hatzigiannis quickly became the most popular singer-songwriter on the Greek music scene. He is also one of the most famous Greek performers in the world in the last decade, visiting Bulgaria many times with completely sold-out concerts. This time, Michalis Hadjianinis returns with a concert at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv on July 8.

Whether it's energetic rock, funky groove or his tender and soulful ballads – the most beautiful common feature in Hatzigiannis' songs is the touching, intimate feeling that he expresses and conveys to the audience. He is an artist who transforms the melancholy and hope of traditional Greek music stylishly and captivatingly into a musical language comprehensible to audiences around the world.

Michalis Hatzigiannis is a native of Nicosia, Cyprus. He graduated from King's College London with a degree in piano and guitar. Over the past 20 years, he has created his own identity with his sensual music. He has collaborated with some of the most important Greek artists, Sato Haris Alexiou, Yorgos Dalaras, Dimitra Galani, Glykeria and others. He has given hundreds of concerts in Greece, his native Cyprus, all over Europe, from North America to Australia and South Africa. His album sales exceed 30 million copies.

In 2004 in Warsaw, Hatzigiannis represented Cyprus at the official ceremony marking the accession of 10 new countries to the European Union. And the same year, he participated in the closing of the Olympic Games in Athens.
